Jeffrey DiLorenzo is a producer and musician living in Brooklyn, NY. Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, he began studying music at an early age and soon developed an interest in experimenting with the possibilities of multi-track recording, often creating entire albums using just a primitive cassette recorder. He found a love for performing as well, touring full-time with several successful bands.
After many years of frustration at the fluidity of being on the road he began to focus on the production side of the music business, moving to New York and setting up studio in Brooklyn. He soon became aware of the many downfalls of the modern recording industry and sought to reverse the sterile, product-driven environment in which many artists attempt to hone their craft. This led to work with the Human Sound Project, where the focus is on the process–a spontaneous, fun one at that–rather than the final outcome.
Having said this, Jeffery is a master of his craft. He has now produced dozens of Human Sound Project songs quickly capturing the sounds made in each workshop, mixing and arranging the sounds as the session progresses and then doing final mixing and mastering on the fly at the conclusion of the session to have the song sent out to participants.
